About The Position

C.A. Fortune is a national consumer-centric integrated commerce agency that helps brands win at retail by delivering sales strategy, in-store execution, full-service marketing, and digital commerce. The Retail Sales Specialist will manage an assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, and tasks, utilizing provided technology for reporting and photo uploads. This role involves merchandising and requires the ability to repeatedly bend and lift up to 50 pounds. The territory includes Madison, WI, Sun Prairie, WI, and surrounding areas, with monthly travel of 200-300 miles. This is a full-time position with 37.5 hours per week, responsible for selling, merchandising, and gaining/maintaining distribution within various accounts. The specialist will ensure clients' products are well-stocked and order them if low or out of stock. Consistent use of mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication is required, along with the ability to switch between tasks like stocking, reporting, and communicating with store teams. The role demands the ability to lift, bend/stoop for extended periods and requires independent work, adherence to directions, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation

  • Proof of Automobile insurance
  • Reliable phone (within 5 years old), service and internet service for daily communication.
  • Ability to drive to stores in assigned territory to complete retail tasks & audits at local grocery retailer.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions independently
  • Ability to lift, bend/stoop for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, retail environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, and tasks.
  • Utilize provided technology for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication.
  • Perform merchandising duties.
  • Sell, merchandise, and gain/maintain distribution within a variety of accounts.
  • Ensure clients' products are well-stocked and order if product is not in stock or low.
  • Switch between tasks such as stocking, reporting, and communicating with store teams throughout the day.
  • Represent a diverse portfolio of national and regional brands, calling on Woodman's.
  • Gain and maintain product distribution by establishing strong relationships with store teams.
  • Order products and work product to shelves from new orders.
  • Conduct audits in Woodman's stores.
  • Travel to and between store locations within the designated territory.
  • Verify that clients' products are accurately represented on store shelves.
  • Maintain a safe working environment while working in the stores.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code and attendance guidelines.
  • Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.
