About The Position

C.A. Carlin is seeking a full-time retail representative to service retailers in Chicago, IL, and surrounding suburbs. This role involves selling, merchandising, gaining/maintaining distribution, and placing Point of Sale materials within assigned accounts. The representative will also be responsible for reporting tasks in a designated system. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a sales rep in the CPG industry, be able to lift, bend/stoop for extended periods, work independently, follow directions, and possess excellent communication skills. Reliable transportation, a clean driving record, a valid driver’s license, and business-level auto insurance are mandatory. C.A. Requirements

  • Local to the Chicago, IL area to service retailers.
  • 1 year of Merchandising experience required.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance are required.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must display a positive and professional attitude and appearance.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be computer literate (Word, Excel, Email and Internet Explorer).
  • Must have cell phone, printer, and computer with internet accessibility.
  • May be subject to a background check and drug screening.
  • Able to lift, bend/stoop for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a sales rep in the CPG industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ordering product and working product to shelves from new orders.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment while working in stores.
  • Adhering to attendance and dress code guidelines.
  • Performing physical activities such as frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Complying with any additional guidelines established by the Store Team.
  • Selling, merchandising, gaining/maintaining distribution, and placing Point of Sale materials within assigned accounts.
  • Completing reporting tasks in a reporting system.
