About The Position

This is a part-time Retail Sales Representative role in Saskatoon, SK, focusing on supporting three tier 1 CPG manufacturers: Blue Buffalo, Yoplait Liberté, and General Mills Canada. The role involves approximately 26-30 hours per week, with a rate of $22.00/hour plus mileage reimbursement. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, motivated, self-starter with strong communication, relationship-building, and planning skills. This role requires independent work on the road, comfort with technology, and a consultative, insight-based selling approach to identify business development opportunities and drive sales within an assigned territory. The clients represented are General Mills (known for brands like Cheerios, Nature Valley, Pillsbury, Old El Paso), Blue Buffalo Pet Foods (focused on healthy pet food with a "Love them like family. Feed them like family." philosophy), and Yoplait Liberté Canada Co. (offering dairy products like Liberté, Yoplait, and YOP).

Requirements

  • Ideally 1-3 years of territory sales and merchandising experience in CPG.

Responsibilities

  • Represent all 3 clients in a professional manner by providing retail customers with the best service.
  • Work with your Manager to set territory goals based on company objectives and develop strategies to meet and/or established targets.
  • Develop customer relations to become a trusted advisor.
  • Introduce new products and promotional events into the market.
  • Leverage selling skills to solicit orders for account Bookings and Allocation.
  • Close distribution gaps by confirming correct shelf tags are present in compliance with account listings & store planograms.
  • Ensure supply availability through merchandising product and checking order / inventory status.
  • Negotiate space for and build Gold Standard displays to maximize points of interruption as well as confirm and correct previously agreed display implementations.
  • Use sales tools provided to identify opportunities & gaps and determine action plans to drive sales, improve distribution, recognize underperforming categories, and increase overall profitability in your territory.
  • Recognize and utilize regional sales trends to maximize in-store performance.
  • Provide feedback and insight on retail conditions and/or issues as they are encountered.
  • Other duties as required.
