About The Position

The Retail Sales Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role models customer service practices and contributes to a positive store culture grounded in honesty, integrity, and respect. It includes accurately processing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing and merchandising products for the sales floor, and maintaining store recovery, cleanliness, and organization. The associate also supports loss prevention and safety programs, follows labor laws and company procedures, and performs other duties as assigned. This is a part-time seasonal position at the TJ Maxx store in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Starting pay is $13.25 to $13.75 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Accurately ring purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
