About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You help provide a quick and easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter-free. You may work in different areas of the store to maintain the cleanliness of the sales floor and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise.

The role includes keeping the sales floor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting with customer transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting room operations, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, and using store technologies. The position requires physical activity throughout shifts, including bending, reaching, handling merchandise, and lifting items.

Requirements

• Ability to move continuously for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
• Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to keep the sales floor runway-ready, sized, and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers with cashiering and transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms; operate a point-of-sale system, bag items, and handle bulky or heavy items while providing friendly service.
• Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
• Sort and return clothing to the sales floor to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
• Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
• Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
