About The Position

Boscov's is hiring a Retail Sales Department Manager to join its retail team. In this leadership role, you will supervise associates and help ensure customers’ needs are met quickly and efficiently. You will supervise and participate in merchandising and setting up the selling floor to support sales and customer service. The role also involves managing sales and stock functions, developing associates, sharing product knowledge, processing transactions and paperwork accurately, and ensuring advertised merchandise is properly set and signed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior retail sales management experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to learn computer systems, POS registers, and Telxon, and to interpret reports.
• Availability to work varied days and hours as the work schedule requires, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong selling and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in merchandising and setting up the selling floor to support sales and customer service.
• Manage the activities of the sales and stock functions.
• Train, coach, and develop associates by leading by example.
• Provide in-depth product knowledge and deliver other components of customer service.
• Complete transactions and paperwork accurately and efficiently while following company policies and procedures.
• Stay aware of advertised merchandise and ensure advertisements are properly set and signed.
• Lead the sales team in engaging customers, selling merchandise, and providing excellent customer service.
