About The Position

Boscov’s is seeking a Retail Sales Department Manager to join its retail management team. The manager supervises associates and helps ensure they build customer relationships and meet customers’ needs quickly and efficiently. The role also involves supervising and participating in merchandising and selling-floor setup to support sales and customer service. Candidates should bring retail sales management experience, strong selling and customer service skills, and the ability to lead a retail sales team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior retail sales management experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to learn computer systems, POS registers, and Telxon, and to interpret reports.
• Availability to work varied days and hours as required by the schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong selling and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the activities of the sales and stock functions.
• Train, coach, and develop associates by leading by example.
• Provide in-depth product knowledge and support other components of customer service.
• Complete transactions and paperwork accurately and efficiently while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain awareness of advertised merchandise and ensure advertisements are set and signed properly.
• Supervise and participate in merchandising and setup of the selling floor to maximize sales and customer service.
• Lead a retail sales team to engage customers, sell merchandise, and provide excellent customer service.
