Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams are the frontline of WOW! Customer Service. Retail Sales Associates help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain well-stocked and organized inventory, and provide knowledgeable advice to improve the shopping experience. The role contributes to sales, store operations, and a positive retail environment. The associate engages with customers, recommends products and promotions, supports store processes and safety practices, and uses diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The position offers opportunities for career growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and assist team members.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise; follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies; and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently, follow company safety policies, and use required personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise as required.
- Maintain flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
