About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience through engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate supports a positive store culture, accurately processes purchases and returns, promotes credit and loyalty programs, prepares and merchandises products, and helps maintain store recovery, cleanliness, organization, and safety. The role also supports shrink reduction, follows labor laws and company policies, and may perform other duties as assigned.

The position is at TJ Maxx Store 1332 in Largo, Florida, and has a starting pay range of $15.00 to $15.50 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and embodying customer experience principles.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
