Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide WOW! Customer Service and help customers find parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, and provide automotive advice to support the shopping experience and store operations. The Retail Sales Associate helps deliver customer service, support sales, maintain inventory and store organization, and contribute to a positive retail environment. The role also includes using diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions. The position is part-time.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions, and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support proper financial management.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently by following structured processes and company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
