About The Position

AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain inventory, and support store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! Customer Service by exceeding customer expectations, offering automotive guidance, supporting sales, and contributing to a positive retail environment. The role offers opportunities for growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public.

Associates engage with customers, collaborate with teammates, recommend products and promotions, restock merchandise, and follow store procedures and safety policies. They also build product knowledge through AutoZone systems and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.

The position is part-time. The schedule is flexible and may include mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock and organize merchandise; follow point-of-sale procedures and loss prevention policies; and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently by following structured processes and company safety policies, including using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
