About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers and following customer experience principles. The associate helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe store; follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards; and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role is seasonal and temporary. The position is at the TJ Maxx store at 3670 McKinley Pkwy., Buffalo, New York. Starting pay is $16.00 to $16.50 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring purchases and returns and provide correct change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
