Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate to deliver WOW! Customer Service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. The role supports sales and store operations by providing product recommendations and automotive advice, maintaining inventory and merchandise organization, and contributing to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. Associates use AutoZone systems to stay informed about parts, tools, and promotions, and diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The position requires the ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise, as well as schedule flexibility for mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated, productive store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss prevention policies, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently by following structured processes and company safety policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Use AutoZone systems to stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
