About The Position

Bluemercury is seeking a passionate Beauty Expert to enhance customers’ beauty experiences through exceptional service, product knowledge, and expert advice. Beauty Experts drive sales and optimize customer service while building client relationships and modeling a best-in-class service experience. They help clients discover products that meet their individual beauty needs and stay aware of current trends.

Requirements

• Proven retail experience, preferably in the beauty industry.
• One to two years of direct experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to share knowledge.
• Passion for beauty and interest in keeping current with trends and products.
• Ability to work flexibly, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Self-motivation and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; exposure to fragrance and home fragrance products; frequent use of computers, handheld electronic equipment, and cash registers; reaching, crouching, kneeling, and stooping; color vision; and lifting or moving items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain personalized relationships with customers, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
• Develop and share knowledge of beauty products across skincare, makeup, haircare, and fragrance, and stay current on products and industry trends.
• Recommend products tailored to clients’ needs, preferences, and skin types; demonstrate products and provide application tips.
• Drive sales by communicating product benefits and promotions, and encourage repeat business by sharing information about loyalty programs and events.
• Support stock management, product availability, and an organized, visually appealing store environment.
• Participate in and occasionally lead in-store beauty workshops.
• Gather customer feedback on products and services and share insights with management.
• Build respectful, authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
• Support operational excellence and adapt to changing priorities.
