About The Position

The Spice & Tea Exchange is hiring a part-time Sales Associate at its Barefoot Landing store in North Myrtle Beach. The associate helps create a warm, inviting shopping experience by welcoming guests, learning about the store’s spice blends and teas, and recommending products based on customers’ interests. The role also supports store displays, restocking, cleaning and organizing the retail environment, blending and packaging small-batch products, and processing sales.

Requirements

Passion for food and flavor and a desire to make customers feel welcome.
Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-first attitude.
Comfort using point-of-sale systems and basic technology.
Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn and grow.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to tolerate working in a strongly aromatic workplace.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
Engage customers, ask questions, and make personalized product recommendations.
Learn about the store’s spice blends and teas and confidently share product knowledge.
Assist with store displays and restocking, and maintain a clean, organized retail environment.
Cross-train to assist with blending and packaging small-batch gourmet products.
Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
