Retail Sales Associate
About The Position
The Retail Sales Associate, internally classified as Front End Specialist 1, assists customers and helps maintain the store’s appearance. The role covers customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance, with a primary focus on front-end operations. Associates are expected to reflect Ollie’s values: teamwork, care, value-consciousness, commitment, continuous growth, and authenticity. The posting notes that the external job title may differ from Ollie’s internal title. The official title assigned upon hire will follow the company’s internal job classification structure.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as a team and engage with and serve customers.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work safely.

Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge customers as they enter and exit the store and approach the front end.
- Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently.
- Know current promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and drive sales.
- Support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs year-round.
- Assist with receiving the truck, pricing items, merchandising products, and recovering the store.
- Maintain the store’s appearance and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
