About The Position

POP MART is seeking energetic, customer-focused Sales Associates who are passionate about creating memorable shopping experiences and representing the brand. The associate delivers exceptional service, builds genuine customer connections, and supports store performance through product knowledge, storytelling, and sales excellence. They introduce customers to POP MART’s collectible art toys, understand customer needs, and provide personalized recommendations that encourage excitement and repeat visits. The role also supports daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Interest in designer toys, collectibles, art, fashion, anime, gaming, or pop culture is highly valued. The position is based in Sherman Oaks, California, and pays $18.42 per hour. Retail schedules may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping periods, with assignments communicated in accordance with applicable scheduling laws. The role requires frequent movement and handling of merchandise, extended periods of standing and walking, and work across the sales floor, stockroom, and receiving areas.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least 1 year of customer-facing retail, hospitality, entertainment, or service industry experience preferred.
Passion for exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage customers from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to build rapport quickly and confidently recommend products.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
Comfort learning technology, point-of-sale systems, and operational processes.
Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk continuously for extended periods, typically 6–8 hours per shift.
Ability to frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach overhead, and safely climb ladders or step stools.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as stocking, unpacking shipments, pricing products, and organizing inventory.
Ability to operate standard retail equipment and stockroom tools, including handheld scanners, box cutters, and ladders.

Interest in collectibles, designer toys, art, anime, gaming, fashion, or pop culture is strongly preferred.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly and build authentic customer relationships.
Share POP MART’s story, artist collaborations, collectible characters, product collections, promotions, and membership program.
Educate customers about collectible products and culture, including Blind Boxes, MEGA Collections, accessories, limited editions, and new launches.
Identify customer needs, make personalized recommendations, upsell complementary merchandise, and work toward individual and store sales goals.
Process purchases, returns, exchanges, and loyalty transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
Receive shipments, replenish merchandise, organize inventory, and maintain stockroom accuracy.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, safety, and strong store presentation across the sales floor and backroom.
Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock replenishment, and operational best practices.
Collaborate with teammates on sales goals, operational objectives, and customer experience.
Cross-train to support POP MART Robo Shop vending machine replenishment and inventory processes as business needs require.
Follow company policies, cash-handling procedures, and loss-prevention standards.
