About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and keeping the store clean and organized. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates promote a positive store culture, process customer transactions and merchandise accurately, and contribute to store recovery, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
