About The Position

Wild Bill’s Tobacco is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to provide customer service and support store operations. The role involves helping customers find products, building customer relationships, meeting sales goals, developing product knowledge, and supporting marketing efforts. Associates help maintain a clean, well-stocked store and follow company policies and procedures. They also work with store management on opening, closing, cash handling, inventory counts, deposits, paperwork, and transactions. The position may require travel within a 15-mile radius of the home store to cover shifts. Work shifts range from 4 to 12 hours and involve standing on the sales floor, with physical tasks including twisting, bending, squatting, lifting, and reaching overhead; associates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience in retail environments and customer service.
• Professional, energetic, and positive attitude.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Flexible scheduling availability.
• Able to work shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours while standing on the sales floor.
• Able to twist, bend, squat, lift, and reach overhead.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering phones, and assessing customer needs.
• Answer questions and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
• Build relationships with customers and suggest products to meet their needs.
• Meet or exceed sales goals.
• Participate in opportunities to gain product knowledge.
• Promote the brand inside and outside the store to solicit new business.
• Assist with retail store functions in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Keep the store clean and well stocked.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Travel within a 15-mile radius of the home store for shift coverage.
• Work with store management to open, close, and operate the store, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Complete accurate paperwork and transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the appearance of the store, back room, restrooms, and individual work area.
• Make the customer experience comfortable and simple while meeting customer needs.
• Perform other tasks, duties, or projects as assigned by management.
• Open and close the store, including locking doors and setting the alarm.
