About The Position

Wild Bill’s Tobacco is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to provide customer service and support the operation of a retail store. The role involves helping customers find products, building customer relationships, meeting sales goals, maintaining product knowledge, and supporting marketing efforts. Associates also assist with store operations, including opening and closing, cash handling, inventory, deposits, paperwork, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked store. The position may require travel within a 15-mile radius of the home store for shift coverage. Shifts may range from 4 to 12 hours standing on the sales floor, with physical tasks that include twisting, bending, squatting, lifting, and reaching overhead, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience in retail environments and customer service.
• Professional, energetic, and positive attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal/interpersonal communication skills.
• Flexible scheduling availability.
• Able to work shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours standing on the sales floor.
• Able to twist, bend, squat, lift, and reach overhead.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, answering phones, and assessing customer needs.
• Answer questions and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
• Build customer relationships and suggest products based on customer needs.
• Meet or exceed sales goals.
• Participate in opportunities to gain product knowledge.
• Participate in marketing efforts to solicit new business and promote the brand inside and outside the store.
• Assist with retail store functions in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure the store is clean and well stocked.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Travel within a 15-mile radius of the home store for shift coverage, as needed.
• Work with store management to open, close, and operate the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Complete accurate paperwork and transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the appearance of the store, back room, restrooms, and individual work area.
• Build customers’ confidence by making their experience comfortable and simple while meeting their needs.
• Assist with other tasks, duties, or projects assigned by management.
• Open and close the store, including locking doors and setting the alarm.
