About The Position

US Patriot is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate for its on-base store at Sheppard AFB in Texas. The associate provides customer service to soldiers and airmen, helps customers select appropriate tactical gear and other products, processes sales, answers product questions, and helps maintain store presentation and merchandise availability. The starting rate is $17.75 per hour. Training is provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Friendly, outgoing, and helpful demeanor.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to handle merchandise throughout the store weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible shift hours, seven days a week.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and respond to their needs.
• Answer questions about merchandise, including price, quality, fabric type, specifications, and usability.
• Upsell products and recommend add-on items.
• Set up advertising displays, fold and arrange merchandise, and present products to promote sales.
• Replenish merchandise and monitor floor stock to help ensure products are available.
• Perform housekeeping to keep the store clean and orderly.
• Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Provide information about contract specifications and products associated with the contract.
• Handle irate customers professionally and courteously.
• Answer product questions and provide information over the phone.
• Communicate and work with colleagues inside and outside the retail department to meet customer needs accurately.
• Adhere to company mission, policies, procedures, and practices.
