About The Position

US Patriot is seeking a Retail Sales Associate for a US Patriot/GALLS store on base at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The associate provides customer service to soldiers and airmen by assisting with product selection, answering merchandise and contract-related questions, processing sales, and helping ensure the store is clean, stocked, and presented to promote sales. The stated starting rate is $17.75 per hour. Training is provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Friendly, outgoing, and helpful demeanor.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to handle merchandise throughout the store weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible shift hours, seven days a week.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and respond to their needs.
• Answer questions about merchandise, including price, quality, fabric type, specifications, and usability.
• Upsell products and recommend add-on items to enhance customer orders.
• Set up advertising displays, fold and arrange merchandise, and otherwise promote sales.
• Replenish merchandise and monitor floor stock to maintain appropriate inventory availability.
• Complete housekeeping to keep the store clean and orderly.
• Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Provide information about contract specifications and products associated with the contract.
• Handle irate customers professionally and courteously.
• Answer product questions and provide information over the phone.
• Communicate and work with teams inside and outside the retail department to meet customer needs accurately.
• Follow company mission, policies, procedures, and practices.
