Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to deliver WOW! Customer Service by helping customers find automotive parts and solutions. The role involves providing trustworthy automotive advice, recommending products and promotions, supporting sales goals, maintaining inventory and store operations, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. Associates work with managers and teammates to create a productive store environment, stay current on parts and promotions using AutoZone systems, and follow company processes, safety policies, and PPE requirements. The position offers opportunities for career growth in an automotive retail environment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently using structured processes and comply with company safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise as needed.
