About The Position
The Retail Sales Associate assists customers and helps maintain the store’s appearance. The role covers customer service, operating registers, merchandising, and store maintenance. Associates are expected to demonstrate Ollie’s core values: teamwork, caring, value obsession, commitment, growth, and authenticity.
Requirements
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
- Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player who wants to engage with and serve customers.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work safely.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge every customer using Ollie’s “Yes I Care, Yes I Can” approach to build long-term customer loyalty.
- Accurately and efficiently manage cash register transactions.
- Stay knowledgeable about current promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and drive sales.
- Support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs year-round.
- Assist with receiving truck deliveries, pricing items, merchandising products, and recovering the store.
- Maintain the store’s appearance and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
