About The Position

Wild Bill’s Tobacco is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to provide customer service, support sales, and assist with the day-to-day operation and upkeep of a retail store. The role includes greeting customers, answering phones, understanding customer needs, responding to questions and concerns, and building customer relationships by recommending products. Associates work toward sales goals, develop product knowledge, and promote the brand to attract new business.

The associate helps operate the store in accordance with company policies and procedures, including opening and closing, cash handling, inventory counts, deposits, paperwork, and transactions. The role also involves maintaining the store, back room, restrooms, and work area, and traveling within a 15-mile radius of the home store for shift coverage. Work may include shifts of 4 to 12 hours standing on the sales floor, along with bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, and reaching overhead.

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience in retail environments and customer service.
• Professional, energetic, and positive attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal/interpersonal communication skills.
• Flexible scheduling availability.
• Ability to work shifts of 4 to 12 hours standing on the sales floor.
• Ability to twist, bend, squat, lift, and reach overhead.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by greeting customers, answering phones, and assessing their needs.
• Answer questions and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
• Build customer relationships and suggest products that meet customer needs.
• Meet or exceed sales goals.
• Develop product knowledge and serve as a product expert.
• Promote the brand inside and outside the store to solicit new business.
• Assist with retail store functions in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Keep the store clean and well stocked.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Travel within a 15-mile radius of the home store for shift coverage.
• Work with store management to open, close, and operate the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Complete accurate paperwork and transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the appearance of the store, back room, restrooms, and individual work area.
• Help make customers’ experiences comfortable and simple while meeting their needs.
• Perform other tasks, duties, or projects assigned by management.
• Open and close the store, including locking doors and setting the alarm.
