About The Position

Pet Food Express is seeking a sales-driven Retail Sales Associate to help pet parents find suitable products and solutions for their pets. Sales Consultants proactively engage customers, provide tailored recommendations using the Pet Food Express Whole Life Approach, and create friendly, informative shopping experiences. The role includes educating customers about products, operating the cash register, unloading shipments, stocking shelves, cleaning and maintaining the store, and supporting other store operations. The position involves substantial physical activity, including heavy lifting and extended periods of standing and walking. Flexible scheduling is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Proactively approach and engage customers and their pets.
• Ask questions to understand customer needs and build lasting relationships.
• Use the Pet Food Express Whole Life Approach to provide tailored product recommendations.
• Participate in daily training and ongoing educational programs to improve product knowledge and sales skills.
• Stay current on new products, promotions, and the pet community.
• Educate customers about product benefits and help them find solutions for their pets’ needs.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Operate the cash register efficiently and provide a friendly checkout experience.
• Unload shipments and stock the store, including performing heavy lifting.
• Clean and maintain the store, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning pet messes as needed.
• Support overall store operations by performing additional duties as assigned.
