About The Position

Cash America Pawn is seeking a customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to help customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries. The role supports pawn and short-term loan services by explaining terms, completing paperwork, and providing a smooth customer experience. Associates process sales and loan activity, assess merchandise, maintain store displays, handle cash responsibly, and assist with basic store operations. Compensation is $17.05–$19.65 per hour plus commission of 2–8% based on individual performance. Most stores are open from 9 AM to 6 PM, and many are closed Sundays. The schedule is flexible and includes weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
• Availability for a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Willingness to assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using retail checkout systems.
• Bilingual skills.
• Comfort working with a variety of merchandise; firearms may be handled at FFL locations, with certification provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries.
• Explain pawn and short-term loan terms, complete paperwork, and support a smooth customer experience.
• Accurately process sales and loan activity in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Evaluate merchandise condition and value to support buying, selling, and loan decisions.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Handle cash and negotiable items responsibly.
• Support store operations, including basic opening and closing tasks.
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Complete required training and follow company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
