About The Position

AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, maintain inventory, assist customers with product selection, and offer advice on automotive needs. The Retail Sales Associate helps deliver WOW! Customer Service by exceeding customer expectations, supporting sales and store operations, and contributing to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The role includes opportunities for growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock merchandise, maintain organization, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
• Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow safety policies, including using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
