About The Position
Westby Ace Hardware is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role provides excellent customer service, supports daily store operations, and helps maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment. We are looking for a team member with the flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and rotating weekends and holidays
- Basic computer and cash handling skills
- Ability to obtain forklift and Propane cylinder filling certification (on-site training)
Nice To Haves
- Retail or hardware experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, helpful customer service and product assistance
- Operate cash register, process transactions, and handle customer inquiries
- Stock merchandise, maintain displays, and keep shelves organized
- Assist with inventory, receiving, product assembly and general store upkeep
- Help customers locate products and make recommendations based on their needs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support team members and complete additional duties as assigned
