Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Cash handling experience.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Excellent phone and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience preferred.
General hardware knowledge is preferred.
Department experience in Lawn & Garden, Animal Health, Paint, Plumbing, Electrical, and key cutting preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selection.
Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
Stock merchandise throughout the store, ensuring correct location and pricing.
Maintain a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and promotional displays.
Fill LP bottles and vehicles safely and efficiently.
Perform screen repairs and cut glass, plexiglass, chain, wire, and tubing.
Thread and cut pipes as needed.
Maintain and clean restrooms and floors throughout the store.
Assist in departments such as Lawn & Garden, Animal Health, Paint, Plumbing, Electrical, and key cutting.
Answer phone calls professionally and direct inquiries appropriately.
