Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service by helping customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintaining well-stocked inventory, and offering product advice. The Retail Sales Associate helps deliver WOW! Customer Service, supports sales and store operations, and contributes to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The role includes assisting customers, recommending products and promotions, maintaining merchandise and store organization, using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes, and following company processes and safety policies. Flexible schedule availability is required, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.

Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to foster a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss prevention policies, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently using structured processes; follow company safety policies and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
