About The Position
Pet Food Express is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to help pet parents find suitable products and provide trusted, tailored advice. Sales Associates proactively engage with customers, recommend products based on their needs, and create friendly, informative shopping experiences. The role includes sales, customer education, operating the cash register, stocking merchandise, and supporting general store operations. Associates participate in daily training and ongoing educational programs to build product knowledge and sales skills. The position involves reliable attendance, unloading shipments, lifting and stocking merchandise, and routinely cleaning and maintaining the store. Candidates should be prepared for the physical demands of the job and be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. The expected pay range is $17.70–$18.70 per hour. Starting pay depends on factors including local market rates, candidate qualifications and experience, internal compensation practices, and budget constraints. Responsibilities
- Proactively approach and engage with customers and their pets.
- Ask questions to understand customer needs and build lasting relationships.

- Stay informed about new products, promotions, and the pet community.
- Educate customers about product benefits and solutions for their pets’ needs.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Operate the cash register and provide a friendly checkout experience.
- Unload shipments and stock the store, including lifting heavy items.
- Clean and maintain the store, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning pet messes as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations.
