Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, offer automotive advice, support sales, and help maintain store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! Customer Service, exceeds customer expectations, and contributes to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The role involves assisting customers, recommending products and promotions, supporting team members, managing merchandise and store processes, and helping customers with basic installation and diagnostic services.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous automotive retail experience.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to foster a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
- Follow structured processes and company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain knowledge of automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
