About The Position

The Wellness Advisor at Sunnyside advises recreational and medicinal customers and caregivers on selecting cannabis products suited to their needs. The role represents Cresco Labs’ mission to normalize, professionalize, and revolutionize cannabis, while delivering a high-quality customer experience through customer service, product knowledge, and adherence to state and company compliance requirements. Wellness Advisors manage the customer lifecycle from check-in and consultation through order fulfillment and checkout. They provide personalized, consultative service, learn cannabis product information and industry compliance standards, and support inventory management, teamwork, and dispensary operations. Compliance with applicable regulations is central to the role. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of customer service experience.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage with customers.
Ability to learn and apply technical and product-related information in a professional, consultative manner.
Willingness to learn about cannabinoids and how they interact with the human body.
Ability to type, sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and move about the dispensary.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must comply with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States permanently without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide a best-in-class experience.
Verify customer identification and other required documentation.
Conduct customer consultations and handle standard questions or complaints.
Escalate employee or customer issues to management.
Build customer relationships by asking about and listening to customer needs, fostering a welcoming and reassuring environment.
Educate customers about cannabis products and their varying effects on the human body to assist with product selection.
Use effective selling and cross-selling techniques to build baskets.
Verify the accuracy of dispensed orders, conduct bag and receipt checks, and complete fulfillment in a timely manner.
Label and package customer orders.
Organize product stock and ensure it meets compliance regulations.
Handle cash accurately in the company’s Point of Sale system and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Help maintain accurate records of dispensary activities, including customer records, sales, deliveries, and returns, in accordance with state regulations and company standards.
Assist with routine inventory counts.
Follow security protocols and safety standards outlined in company SOPs.
Assist with organizing sales floor merchandise and product displays.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for customers and the team.
