Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain inventory, and support store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service by helping customers select products, offering automotive advice, recommending products and promotions, and contributing to sales goals and store performance. The role also includes restocking and organizing merchandise, following point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, learning about automotive products and promotions through AutoZone systems, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. Associates collaborate with managers and teammates, follow company safety policies, and use personal protective equipment. The position is part-time and requires flexible availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise; follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and help maintain proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
