About The Position

Batteries Plus is seeking a Retail Sales Associate who enjoys helping customers find the right products, services, and solutions. The position includes comprehensive training, with no prior experience with the company's products or services required, focusing instead on customer service and sales background. Associates will learn to replace batteries in various applications and repair consumer electronic devices.

  • Occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach above shoulders, and lift more than 50 pounds.
  • Regular use of electrical cables, simple hand tools, a magnifying glass, spot welders, automotive and electronic testing equipment.
  • Regular use of a phone, fax, computer, and printer/copier.
  • Willingness to wear protective clothing and/or equipment including goggles, gloves, and steel-toed shoes.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, ask questions, and determine needs.
  • Provide complete solutions to customer needs.
  • Operate a technology-based Point of Sale system to complete sales transactions.
  • Handle inbound phone sales/service.
  • Install large and small batteries in various devices.
  • Disassemble and reassemble phones and tablets to complete repairs.
  • Function as a team player.
  • Maintain inventory stock and manage inventory.
  • Ship and/or deliver to commercial accounts.
  • Maintain a clean and full store appearance.
  • Build displays to better market seasonal products.
  • Prepare the store for daily opening and closing.

Benefits

  • Dedicated one-on-one paid training for the first 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Combination of base hourly rate, individual and team sales incentives, plus 'per piece' earnings for specific installs and repairs.
  • $22.00 per hour minimum pay guarantee during the first 6 months.
  • $2 per hour pay increase for all weekend shift hours worked.
  • $3 per hour pay increase for overtime weekend hours worked.
