About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate helps clients find tanning and wellness options that meet their needs, builds trusted client relationships, and contributes to a positive, fast-paced salon environment. The role provides customer service, recommends products and services, meets minimum sales requirements, and supports salon cleanliness. Associates may work independently during a shift when business needs require. The position is part-time and offers base pay of $14.00 per hour or more, with performance bonuses; the stated average earnings of up to $17.00 per hour are not guaranteed and depend on meeting performance and training criteria.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to provide excellent customer service and engage professionally with clients.
Ability to make product and service recommendations and meet minimum sales requirements.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced salon environment.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up items from floors.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Provide professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
Engage with clients, build relationships, and understand and meet their needs.
Recommend products and services to clients.
Meet minimum sales requirements.
Multitask, including cleaning tanning beds after clients leave and engaging with arriving clients.
Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
Work cohesively with the team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment and follow company policies and procedures.
Educate clients about tanning and wellness options.
