About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to create a welcoming, engaging shopping experience for customers and help them find instruments and gear suited to their musical interests. The role combines customer service, product knowledge, sales, and store upkeep. Compensation is $17.00–$25.50 per hour plus commission, depending on background and experience; actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, understand their musical interests, and recommend suitable instruments and gear.
• Work toward sales targets and use upselling and cross-selling to enhance customers’ setups.
• Maintain knowledge of products, trends, and features to help customers make informed decisions.
• Build customer relationships, follow up to ensure satisfaction, and engage with the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Learn from feedback, seek solutions, and approach challenges with confidence.
