About The Position

The Sales Associate is the store’s customer service specialist and reports to the Store Manager. The role focuses on exceeding customer expectations by listening to customer needs, finding suitable products, providing in-depth product information, and closing sales. This is a seasonal position at First Colony Mall. The associate supports sales and store operations, maintains brand and operational standards, assists customers in the fitting room, may cashier when required, processes shipments, and helps ensure merchandise is available on the sales floor. The role also involves following company policies and procedures and assisting with management-assigned projects.

Requirements

Strong communication skills.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
Ability to stand for long periods, read computer terminals, and push, pull, move, lift, or carry objects weighing at least 25 pounds.
Ability to maneuver effectively around the sales floor and stockroom, including repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
High school diploma or GED, or six months of retail or related experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including nights, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

Meet and exceed sales goals.
Maintain brand and operational standards, including visual presentation and cleanliness.
Proactively manage customer needs and exceed expectations by using the U.N.I.Q.L.O. service standard, following the Uniqlo Fundamental Principles, and saying the six standard phrases.
Know fitting room standards and assist when needed.
Act as cashier when required, following cashier protocol.
Process shipments and ensure all merchandise is represented on the floor in full size runs.
Assist management in identifying and resolving store issues.
Provide customers with product and brand knowledge.
Follow company policies and procedures and notify management of infractions.
Assist with special projects as assigned by management.
