About The Position

Retail Sales Associates help deliver memorable customer experiences in Columbia Sportswear Company’s retail stores and support the company’s mission of connecting active people with their passions. As brand ambassadors, associates interact positively with customers, answer questions, recommend products, and contribute to customer service and teamwork. They also help maintain product availability, visual displays, and efficient checkout operations while supporting the Store Leadership team.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years old.
• Have 2 or fewer years of experience in a position or specialization.
• Have skill operating inventory and point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail software tools.
• Be available to work a flexible retail schedule that may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts.
• Be able to communicate clearly with others.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by responding to questions or issues about product features, benefits, and availability, and learn customers’ needs and preferences.
• Demonstrate and explain merchandise and recommend suitable product options.
• Maintain visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards; retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations.
• Complete cash register transactions, including sales, returns, exchanges, and loyalty program connections, accurately and efficiently.
• Receive, handle, replenish, and process incoming and outgoing products to support store profitability.
