About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate provides a high level of customer service and satisfaction while selling a broad range of products and working toward the highest level of sales. The associate delivers service that represents the Omaha Steaks brand, helps customers with product knowledge and purchasing needs, and serves as a backup to the Store Manager. The role includes sales, register operation, inventory and delivery tasks, order fulfillment, store opening and closing duties, and maintaining a clean store environment. Food knowledge is welcome, and the company offers training to help team members become “Steak Experts.” The schedule varies based on store needs. Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.–7 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; no early mornings or late evenings are required. Starting pay is $17.90 per hour, with a potential monthly incentive of $3.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Excellent customer service, sales, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers by sharing product knowledge and addressing purchasing needs.
Sell a broad range of products and recommend upgrades and add-ons to increase sales and meet monthly goals.
Operate the retail cash register accurately and capture customer names, addresses, and sales information for transactions.
Assist with receiving weekly truck deliveries.
Stock the freezer according to operating procedures and the Store Manager’s directions.
Perform physical inventory and follow inventory procedures.
Resolve customer questions or complaints.
Perform store opening or closing functions, including counting cash, preparing the nightly deposit, and securing the store.
Fulfill Buy Online, Ship from Store (BOSS) orders by selecting, packing, and preparing items accurately and promptly.
Maintain a clean and orderly store, including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning restrooms as needed.
Meet attendance and punctuality expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
