About The Position

Wild Bill’s Tobacco is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to provide customer service and support the daily operation of a retail store. The role includes helping customers select products, meeting sales goals, maintaining store appearance and inventory, and completing store transactions according to company policies and procedures. Associates may travel within a 15-mile radius of their home store to provide shift coverage. Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours and are spent standing on the sales floor. The position also requires twisting, bending, squatting, lifting, and reaching overhead, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience in retail environments and customer service.
• Professional, energetic, and positive attitude.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Flexible scheduling availability.
• Ability to stand on the sales floor for shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours.
• Ability to twist, bend, squat, lift, and reach overhead.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, answering phones, and assessing customer needs.
• Answer questions and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
• Build relationships with customers and suggest products that meet their needs.
• Meet or exceed sales goals.
• Participate in opportunities to gain product knowledge.
• Support marketing efforts to solicit new business and promote the brand inside and outside the store.
• Assist with retail store functions in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Keep the store clean and well stocked.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Travel within a 15-mile radius of the home store for shift coverage.
• Work with store management to open, close, and operate the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Complete accurate paperwork and transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the store appearance, back room, restrooms, and individual work area.
• Make customers’ experiences comfortable and simple while meeting their needs.
• Assist with other tasks, duties, or projects assigned by management.
• Open and close the store, including locking doors and setting the alarm.
