About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate helps deliver an exceptional guest experience and drive sales growth at a Yankee Candle store. The role contributes to a welcoming store environment, uses product knowledge to understand guest needs and build emotional connections, and applies company selling strategies to strengthen customer relationships and loyalty. The associate also supports the Store Manager and team, assists with store presentation and inventory activities, follows safety and loss-prevention measures, and works toward Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals.

Requirements

Proven experience in a retail environment; 1+ years is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work in a fragrance-filled environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

At least 1 year of retail experience.

Responsibilities

Contribute to a welcoming store environment focused on an exceptional guest experience.
Use product knowledge to understand guest needs and make emotional connections.
Apply company selling strategies to maximize sales and build lasting customer relationships.
Promote guest loyalty through the Rewards Loyalty program and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Help maintain the store’s appearance in accordance with company visual standards, including plan-o-grams, visual maintenance, signage, and cleanliness.
Support the Store Manager in building a high-performing team that represents Newell Brand Values.
Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and effective communication.
Support inventory management activities and control expenses.
Incorporate safety and loss-prevention measures into daily activities and follow company policies and the Code of Ethics.
Strive to achieve or exceed KPI goals through planning, execution, and continuous performance improvement.
