About The Position

Floor & Decor Sales Associates provide customers with friendly, accurate service and support in finding products for their projects. They help maintain a fast-paced, safe sales floor by keeping assigned departments clean, stocked, and shoppable. The role involves assisting customers throughout the shopping and checkout process, supporting sales goals, and helping in other store areas as needed. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Knowledge of basic math skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
• Some positions may require completion of forklift certifications through Floor & Decor.
• Where permissible by state law, successful completion of a drug test is required for certification to use heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend products, and build enthusiasm for their purchases.
• Provide exceptional customer service and work to exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain assigned areas in-stock, clean, shoppable, and safe.
• Work with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
• Process customer purchases at checkout using the point-of-sale system.
• Process refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
• Follow cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs; stock, tag, and display merchandise.
• Act and work consistently with the company’s core values.
• Understand and comply with the company’s safety processes.
• Answer telephone calls according to company guidelines.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed.
• Work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
