About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate, also described as a Retail Customer Service Representative (Pawnbroker), for its EZPawn store at 5110 Hwy 6, Houston, Texas 77084. The role offers an experience-based pay range of $11.00 to $15.00 per hour, with opportunities to increase pay and advance through a structured career path. New hires begin as Trainees in a paid five-week training program; upon completion, they receive a $0.50 hourly raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Team Members may then pursue Pawnbroker certification for an additional $1 per hour, advance to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Manager), and apply for a Store Manager in Training role with a 12-week training program.

In this customer-facing position, you will help customers reach mutually satisfying agreements involving pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. You will contribute to a friendly, courteous, and respectful store environment while assisting customers in person and by phone, processing transactions, and completing store opening and closing duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Self-motivation, a positive and outgoing personality, and a strong work ethic.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and interacting with customers in person and over the phone.

• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
