About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate, internally classified as a Front End Specialist, assists customers and helps maintain the store’s appearance. The role covers customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance, with a primary focus on front-end store operations. Associates are expected to work together, treat others with courtesy and respect, support the company’s value-focused approach, act with commitment, seek improvement, and be honest and genuine.

Requirements

• A positive attitude and a team-oriented approach to engaging with and serving customers.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work safely.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of prior retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers as they enter and exit the store and approach the front end.
• Operate the register accurately and efficiently.
• Approve refunds for other Associates.
• Assist with training new Associates.
• Know current promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and drive sales.
• Support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs year-round.
• Assist with receiving trucks, pricing items, merchandising products, and recovering the store.
• Maintain the store’s appearance and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
