About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate, internally titled Front End Specialist, assists customers and helps maintain the store’s appearance. The role is responsible for customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance, with a primary focus on front-end store operations. Associates are expected to embody Ollie’s values: teamwork, care, value-consciousness, commitment, growth, and authenticity.

Requirements

• A positive attitude and a team-oriented approach to engaging with and serving customers.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work safely.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of prior retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers as they enter and exit the store and approach the front end.
• Operate the register accurately and efficiently.
• Approve refunds for other Associates.
• Assist with training new Associates.
• Stay knowledgeable about current promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and drive sales.
• Support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs year-round.
• Assist with truck receiving, pricing items, merchandising products, and recovering the store.
• Maintain the store’s appearance and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
