About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience practices, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position also involves processing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing and merchandising merchandise, supporting store recovery and shrink-reduction efforts, and helping maintain a safe store environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.

• Accurately ring purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
