About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) for its EZPawn store at 1850 Hunter Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. The role offers pay based on experience, with a stated range of $12 to $14 per hour, in a fast-paced retail environment. The position involves daily customer interactions, helping customers with sales and reaching mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members are expected to provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer experience.

The company describes a structured career path beginning with a five-week paid trainee program. Completing the program brings a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Employees may then pursue a Pawnbroker Certification Program for an additional $1 per hour, progress to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and apply for Assistant Manager, which includes a six-month training program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work effectively independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.
• Self-motivated, positive, outgoing, and committed to a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and interacting with customers in person and by phone.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
