About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate – Golf supports customers and teammates in a DICK’S Sporting Goods store. The role focuses on creating a positive shopping experience through proactive customer service, product knowledge, merchandising execution, and support across the store. The associate helps foster an inclusive environment where customers and teammates feel welcome, safe, and respected, while following company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and occasionally lift items weighing 15 to 35 pounds, up to five times per hour.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of up to four hours.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of up to two hours continuously.

Nice To Haves

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Golf industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively approach them to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Maintain company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
• Promote company programs, including customer loyalty participation, warranty sales, and private-label credit card enrollment.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures, and maintain the confidentiality of company information.
• Help create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome, safe, and respected.
• Support the team across the store as needed.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
